Sparkle Top Cadillacs

Gold sparkle top Caddy AKA "Elvis" came to me compliments of Tommy "60srocker". He also took these pics. One of these days I need to get a better camera and a steadier hand. Thanks again Tom!

Avalanche

This is an unusual guitar. It is a Czech made Avalanche. I got it from Dave at Bass and Treble. He told me that it was the only one he knew existed... probably part of a pilot run to see whether or not these guitars were to be produced in the Czech republic. The Avalanche is a Korean production guitar made for the lower-mid price category, but the quality on this Czech Avalanche rivals a Tom Anderson guitar. It has Schaller hardware, Flame maple veneer with matching headstock cap, Ebony fretboard and Abalone dot inlays and mother of pearl Dean Signature on the headstock. Thanks again Dave!

Icon

The Icon came to me via Ebay. It had DiMarzio "Evolution" pickups in it, which were some of the worst sounding pickups I have ever had, so I replaced them with a Duncan Jazz in the neck and a Pearly Gates in the bridge. I added Abalone topped knobs to match the dot inlays on the neck. This is an amazing guitar to play. It eats PRS Custom 22 guitars for breakfast.

EVO

This is EVO #1. When I got it, it was equipped with EMG 81/85 pickups. It is now wired with Lindy Fralin 7.5K/8.5K zebra humbuckers and no tone control. The knob is inactive. This is probably my best sounding guitar. The great tone and playability of this EVO prompted me to let go of my 1971 Les Paul Custom. I didn't need it anymore.
EVO #2 is completely stock with the original Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates pickups. I plan to sell this one since I have FIVE EVOs now.
EVO #1 before the re-wiring to the Fralin pickups. I just could not get used to the black pickups on this guitar... and I already have EMG's on my purple "Grape Ape" Cadillac.

EVO #4 is a very nice transparent amber color. I hope to get some better pics of it. It is totally stock, same as #2.

Flametop Cadillacs

The Amber Flame Caddy is bone-stock in mint condition. No plans for it at this time. She is a beauty.

The Purple Caddy AKA "The Grape Ape" is currently equipped with EMG 81/85 pickups. I may change it to Duncan Antiquity humbuckers if I can find a good deal on a set.
